Scholarship Program Overview

In 2019, it was with great sadness that NYFPS shared the news of the passing of NYFPS alumna, evaluator, and volunteer, Taylor Keith. Her dedication and support for the NYFPS program has had a tremendous positive impact on the program including its participants over the years. That same year, NYFPS and Taylor's family announced the launch of the Taylor Keith Scholarship Program in her name to honor the legacy of her support for advancing the NYFPS mission.

The Taylor Keith Scholarship Program carries the torch of helping New York State students develop problem solving skills and prepare for leadership roles. NYFPS serves many communities across New York State and often work with underprivileged students that may not have as access to as many educational curricular or extracurricular opportunities as their peers in more affluent areas. This scholarship program is an effort to bring NYFPS' program offerings to these students. It provides financial support for students and/or school recipients to participate in NYFPS' competitive components; thus enabling participants with funding needs to experience the learning opportunities of the program. Scholarship recipients may be awarded partial or full credit towards NYFPS registration fees.

Since the program's inception in 2019, recipients have successfully qualified to compete in the New York State Conference. These scholars not only received achievements at the state level, but they have gone on to compete at the International Conference.
